To obtain optimal grafts for harvest, the ARTAS® re-calculates continuously the hair angle, hair position and other pertinent parameters, achieving optimal follicular units for transplant.
Follicular units are targeted in a random manner through the ARTAS® technology, ensuring the donor areas remain natural in appearance. Following harvesting of the donor units, they are stored prior to implantation ensuring the recipient sites are not noticeable and the area appears natural looking.
How long will the ARTAS® transplanted hair follicles last?
Hairs are typically taken from the back of the head and placed in the sparse, thinning areas of the scalp. These transplanted hairs are permanent as they are not susceptible to male pattern baldness, being taken from the back of the head.

Approximately how long will the ARTAS® procedure take to perform?
Hair transplantation utilizing ARTAS® technology generally takes four to eight hours to complete.
